We Started off in the morning with a game of I don't believe you, the aim is to shout "I don't believe you" if someone in the class doesn't react to a certain situation appropriately. A few of my peers went up and then the audience gave constructive criticism as to why we believed them or not.
Ms Goodall then asked us to behave like a character we saw/met on our way to school so I behaved like my friend Omari who I had met that morning. Sarah put us in different scenarios but we were all playing different characters, so things like 'what would this person do if they found £20'. Furthermore, we all got into pairs as our characters and acted out different situations with our partner, my partner and I did a confrontation scene considering Omari is always talking about how he can handle confrontation. He recently purchased a new pair of trainers, the next situation was 'what if this person stood in dog poo' I overacted because omari is a very animated person and if that happened to him he would be extremely angry.
We switched pairs as our character for the final scene, we all had the same lines which consisted mostly of the words "I love you". I got my partner to say it and I reacted awkwardly.

02/09/2014- Theatre Lesson
Today the whole theater form tutor worked together for the day, as mr rennison's took ill.We began in the lecture theater, and explored melodrama. Our task was to devise a piece in groups of 5, we needed to focus on exaggeration in almost every way.
The naturalistic scene required us to act out the highlights of our realism piece, following this we changed groups and made our own versions of the cherry orchard in much shorter versions. By the end of the day we had discussed what was required throughout the year in order for us to achieve the maximum grade.
